For Jamie, audiology isn't just a career – it's a calling that began with learning American Sign Language (ASL) in college. That initial interest blossomed into a 25-year journey helping people hear better, with most of those years spent right here at Family Audiology and Hearing Centers. Originally from the small town of Carrollton in eastern Ohio, Jamie now calls Beavercreek home. She brings her small-town values of personal connection and dedicated service to every patient interaction at our Centerville hearing aid center.

Expertise with a Personal Touch

With her psychology background from The University of Akron and master's degree in Audiology, Jamie understands that better hearing is about more than just technology – it's about improving lives and rebuilding connections. When asked about her favorite part of being an audiologist, Jamie's answer reveals her patient-centered approach:

"Building relationships with my patients while helping them improve their quality of life through better hearing."

This philosophy shows in her careful attention to each person's unique needs and her enthusiasm for new hearing technology like the Oticon Intent. Her comprehensive approach includes performing Real Ear Measurements to ensure optimal hearing aid settings for each patient's unique needs.

Fun Fact! Jamie has been married to her husband Terry for over 20 years, and they share a special tradition of taking "back to nature" family trips with their sons Nathan and Evan. These outdoor adventures give Jamie a deep appreciation for the simple sounds many of us take for granted – from rustling leaves to chirping birds.

Beyond the Office

Outside the office, you'll likely find Jamie cheering on her two teenage sons at their baseball and soccer games, or rooting for her beloved OSU Buckeyes. And when she needs a moment of peace? Her favorite sound is the calming waves of the beach. This balance of professional dedication and personal life gives Jamie a unique perspective on the importance of hearing well in all aspects of life – from catching every cheer at a sports game to enjoying quiet moments by the ocean.
