Building Trust Through Experience

Dr. Paige Parker's connection to hearing healthcare is deeply personal. Growing up in Springfield with a sister who received hearing aids at age 4, she gained early insights into the challenges of hearing loss. Now serving at Family Audiology and Hearing Centers' Urbana and Springfield locations, Dr. Parker brings this unique perspective to every patient interaction.

Her journey from The College of Wooster to earning her Doctorate of Audiology from Northwestern University has equipped her with comprehensive expertise in various clinical settings, including private practices, ENT clinics, and pediatric care. Her lifelong exposure to hearing healthcare gives her a distinctive understanding of both the technical and emotional aspects of hearing loss.

Patient Education as a Priority

Dr. Parker's passion lies in empowering patients through education. She believes informed patients make confident decisions about their hearing health, and takes time to ensure each person understands their hearing status and treatment options. Her expertise with both Oticon and Phonak RIC hearing aids, combined with detailed Real Ear Measurements, allows her to customize solutions for each patient's unique needs. Her approach to patient care reflects her belief that knowledge is the foundation of successful hearing treatment, and she dedicates time to answering questions and addressing concerns thoroughly.

Fun Fact: The sounds of a campfire mixed with rain remind Dr. Parker of cherished family camping trips, reinforcing her understanding that better hearing enriches life's precious moments. These experiences help her relate to patients who want to stay connected to their favorite sounds and activities.

Embracing Community and Family

When not in the office, you'll find Dr. Parker cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoying time with family, or discovering new camping spots. Her favorite local restaurant, Cinco de Mayo in Springfield, speaks to her connection to the community she serves. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, she continues to expand her knowledge while maintaining strong ties to her hometown roots. Her commitment to both professional excellence and community involvement creates a welcoming environment for patients seeking hearing care.
