The Oticon Reveal is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid designed to balance clear speech with natural awareness of your surroundings. It's Oticon's third generation of AI-driven hearing technology, following Oticon More and Oticon Intent, and it's available now at Family Audiology and Hearing Centers.
About the Oticon Reveal Hearing Aid
Most hearing aids improve conversation by suppressing as much background sound as possible. The Oticon Reveal takes a different approach. It's built to find what Oticon calls your "balance point," the setting where speech is clear and comfortable while meaningful environmental sound stays intact. That matters because your brain relies on surrounding sound to stay oriented, and when too much of it disappears, listening can feel flat and isolating even when words are easier to catch.
At the core of the Oticon Reveal is a new dual-AI system. Speech AI analyzes and enhances voices while Context AI preserves relevant sounds from the environment. Both systems reassess your surroundings every two milliseconds and combine their results inside the Reveal AI Clarifier, the device's sound-processing core. Oticon's 4D sensor technology supports this by reading your head movement, body movement, conversation activity, and acoustic environment before the hearing aid decides how to process sound.
Key Features of the Oticon Reveal
These features shape how the Oticon Reveal performs in daily life, from crowded restaurants to phone calls to quiet evenings at home.
- Dual-AI Sound Processing: Two coordinated AI systems, one for speech and one for environmental context, work together in real time so conversation stays clear without the world around you going silent.
- 4D Sensor Technology: Built-in sensors evaluate your movement and listening situation before processing begins, allowing the device to respond differently to a face-to-face conversation than to a walk down a busy street, with no button presses required.
- Reveal Optimizer: Oticon's updated feedback-prevention system reduces the whistling that occurs when amplified sound leaks back into the microphone. This gives us more room to deliver the amplification your hearing loss calls for, especially in open or vented fittings.
- Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast: The Oticon Reveal streams calls, music, and TV audio using Bluetooth Low Energy Audio, a newer and more power-efficient standard, with Made for iPhone compatibility, optimized Android connectivity, and Google Fast Pair. Auracast support lets equipped venues such as theaters and airports broadcast audio directly to your hearing aids.
- Streaming Comfort: While you stream, this feature automatically lowers surrounding environmental sound so calls and music stay in front. The amount of reduction is adjustable in the app or by your provider.
- Rechargeable Convenience: The Oticon Reveal charges overnight in a desktop charger, with a portable travel charger available for time away from home. No disposable batteries needed.
CROS Option for Single-Sided Hearing Loss
Alongside the Reveal platform, Oticon has introduced a new CROS transmitter for patients with hearing in only one ear. Worn on the unaidable side, it routes sound to the hearing ear so conversation and environmental awareness aren't lost on that side.
The new transmitter supports Bluetooth LE Audio and dual streaming, and it uses the same desktop and travel chargers as the Oticon Reveal hearing aids, which keeps daily charging simple for patients managing both devices.
Who Is the Oticon Reveal Right For?
The Oticon Reveal is a strong match for adults who want natural, open sound and prefer to stay aware of their surroundings rather than have background sound removed aggressively. It suits experienced wearers who found previous devices made the world feel distant, patients who do best with open or vented fittings, and anyone who wants dependable wireless streaming without fuss. It's available in Oticon's standard color range, including a new Deep Plum option.
If your priority is the strongest possible suppression of background noise, a different processing strategy may fit you better. That's a conversation we'll have honestly during your evaluation, because the right hearing aid is the one matched to your hearing loss, your ears, and the situations where you struggle most.
